The Spark is a short film about breaking free from distraction, leaving comfort behind, and choosing a life of purpose, movement, and growth. In a world built to keep us scrolling, this film reflects on ambition, discipline, dopamine, and the moment you finally decide to stop watching life and start living it.
This video is purposely divided into two main parts: an imagined world in the first part, and reality in the second. The first part was created using AI, and the second part was filmed with a Sony A7 IV paired with a Sigma 28–45mm f/1.8 lens.
During the editing process, the goal was to bring the AI-generated footage and the recorded shots into a similar color style, while also blending the music, sound effects, and voice-over in a way that was not only harmonious, but also conveyed different emotional layers. DaVinci Resolve was used for the editing process.
The music was built from a single piece of music, which was cut apart and restructured to better fit the message of the short film. The voice-over was generated using AI.
